Local Attractions
Other local attractions you may want to explore when you have booked onto a course with us include...
Shelsley Walsh
The historic Shelsley Walsh hill climb is also in the Teme Valley. It has been world famous since 1905 and is the oldest motor sport venue in the world still running on its original course.
Witley Court
A hundred years ago, Witley Court was one of England's great country houses, hosting many extravagant parties. Today it is a spectacular ruin, the result of a disastrous fire in 1937. Restoration work to the West Wing has made several new rooms accessible to the public.
Great Witley Church
This splendid baroque building is unique amongst country churches in Britain, with exquisite gilded decorations throughout, numerous paintings by Antonio Bellucci, ten painted glass windows depicting scenes from the New Testament, highly decorative carving and a large monument by Rysbrack. It also has a fine organ, its case being from the instrument upon which Handel played.
