Coppicing is a system of traditional woodland management that takes advantage of the ability of British broadleaf trees to sprout new growth when cut down to a stump or "stool". Such a system when well managed, provides great benefits to biodiversity and wildlife. The landscape benefits too, as coppice systems encourage woodland flora to thrive- giving us for example, bluebell woods in spring.

As by-products of our coppice regeneration programme,we are able to offer:

  • firewood by the load
  • willow withies by the bundle
  • hazel and sweet chestnut poles
  • cleft timber
  • traditional pea and bean sticks
